Buy Hydrofoil Boards Online at the Wakefactory Shop

At Wakefactory you'll find hydrofoil boards across the full range, from compact entry-level decks to aggressive race setups. We focus exclusively on wakefoils without a motor, because our crew rides this exact discipline on the water every summer. That removes any confusion with e-foils or wing-foils.

In the shop you filter every hydrofoil board by mast length, board volume and wing size. Shipping is free within Switzerland, with payment via Twint, card or invoice. Each board ships directly from the importer or manufacturer and comes from the current season. If you have specific questions, drop us an email or call, and we'll narrow down the right setup with you.

If you're building a fresh foil system at the same time, the broader Wakefoil section has masts, wings, packages and hardware. There you pair your hydrofoil board with the rest of the components in a single order. Boardbags and ropes sit a click away too.

Top Wakefoil Boards from Established Brands in the Lineup

At Wakefactory we stock hydrofoil boards from brands that are actually ridden in the international wake scene. Which manufacturers sit in the lineup depends on the season and gets updated regularly after on-water testing. Generic no-name decks without scene credibility don't make it onto our shelves.

With a hydrofoil board, the construction and the foil system define how it rides. Some brands go with modular aluminum setups for affordable starter packages, others with high-stiffness carbon modules for top speed and glide. The geometry of the front wing and stabilizer shapes how early the foil lifts out of the water and how cleanly it turns.

Which brand suits you depends on your boat setup, your skill level and your budget. We refresh the lineup every season, older models drop into Sale or move to the Used section. A full overview of every brand we carry sits on our Brands page.

Hydrofoil Surfboard Without a Motor for Riding Behind the Boat

A hydrofoil surfboard without a motor is exactly what we mean by wakefoil at Wakefactory. Unlike e-foils with a battery drive or wing-foils with a sail, with a wakefoil you're pulled by the boat or a cable wake park. Once you're in stable lift, you can drop the rope and keep surfing the boat wave on your own.

Riding speed sits typically at 12 to 18 km/h, noticeably slower than classic wakeboarding. That goes easy on knees and hips, because the foil absorbs the slap of the waves. Instead of fighting the water, you lean against the water resistance on the mast and steer the lift through weight shifts.

For your first sessions, a compact hydrofoil board with higher volume is plenty. Once your stance is dialed in, you switch to longer masts and smaller front wings to fly higher and faster. A curated selection of Wakefoil Wings sits in the matching category, tuned for every skill level.

From a Short Mast for Beginners to a Race Setup

Mast length is the biggest single lever on a hydrofoil board between a beginner setup and a race configuration. Short masts from 50 to 65 cm keep you close to the water, so the first crashes stay harmless and the learning curve flattens fast. This range is the classic entry point into the wakefoil sport.

In the middle range of 70 to 85 cm, the performance window opens up. You carve much more aggressively without the tips constantly catching the water, and you can pull tighter lines on the boat wave. Race setups usually start at 90 cm and go beyond, but only with the skill to back it up, because a fall from that height starts to hurt. Experienced riders tend to combine long masts with aggressive front wings to squeeze maximum line speed out of their hydrofoil board.

The choice depends not only on skill but also on your boat wave and the wing system. A modular setup lets you combine the same mast with different front wings. A full overview of all hardware options with dimensions and materials sits in the Wakefoil Hardware category.

Buying a Hydrofoil Surfboard That Fits Your Build

When you're looking to buy a hydrofoil surfboard that actually fits your build, look at board volume, stance area and balance point. Light riders under 65 kg often run compact decks around 4'2" with moderate volume. Heavier riders from 90 kg up reach for longer decks from 4'8" with more float, so the start out of the water stays clean.

Foot size and stance geometry play a role too. Bigger feet need wider decks, otherwise your toes hang over the rail edges. If you ride switch regularly, look for a stance area that's as symmetric as possible. Some foilboards offer adjustable foot tracks that grow with your skill, covering both early learning and later carving.

We recommend starting with a complete package, because there the board, mast, front wing and stabilizer are matched to each other. A pre-filtered selection across skill levels is in the Wakefoil Packages section. If you're not sure whether you're after your first hydrofoil board or extending into a performance setup, drop us a quick note with your height, weight and boat model and we'll point you to two setups that fit.
